Domo Kitty goes viral-ish?
I wasn’t paying very close attention to Domokitty for a while, and suddenly it seems to have blown up this week completely randomly – I guess it all makes sense now, being that I started getting a number of emails from people who wanted replicas. Here’s a graph of domokitty.com’s traffic over the last two months, which includes its previous peak while the auction was on, at about 150 hits/day, then skyrocketing on monday to 1200 hits:
Sadly, I really can’t tell just where the massive traffic was coming from, though googling domo kitty now comes up with ridiculously large number of blogs and other things pointing to domokitty and my flickr.
i’m pretty stoked someone posted me to ffffound tho. internet hipsterdom, here i come. maybe I should make up another one, or a line of miniatures?
UPDATE: i just realized that despite not knowing where the traffic is coming from on the internet, apparently like 100% of it is coming from japan – I guess it makes a lot more sense now; i was wondering when the homeland would get ahold of domokitty and it would blow up.
